photobooth project
For the past 20+ years I have been documenting parts of my life in vintage photochemical photobooths. While I already have a sizable collection of images of myself, but I want to expand this project to include friends and strangers around the country and, hopefully, throughout the world. I am asking everyone reading this for help in this endeavor. Below is a list of known “dip and dunk” photobooths still in operation (as of November 2023, some may be closed or have limited hours) in the US, including some locations outside of my country. I’d appreciate it if you would visit one of the machines, pose however you want, make a strip for me, and mail me your creation so I can include you in this project. Your strip would remain in my collection, OR I can scan it and ship it right back to you. If you would like to retain your image and send me a scan, please send me an email to the address below and I can send you all the parameters of how I would like it scanned.
